Cielo Glamping was an experience in simple escape relaxation and connecting with the tranquility and beauty of nature.
Located just outside the charming and rustic seaside village of Shippagan on the north shore of New Brunswick this is far enough from the hustle of bustle of larger towns and cites but close enough to Shippagan village, should you need restaurant dinning and entertainment.

The Cielo location offers amazing sunset vistas and sea breezes while you can relax in a one of a kind wood fired hot-tub bath. There is also a small Oyster bar on site with a rustic, relaxed and unique atmosphere, on weekends you may catch a local band. Enjoy shucked oysters with local Fils Du Roy distilled beverages offering craft beers, an amazing gin and even absinthe.
After a day of exploring the coastline, enjoying oysters and cocktails and having a relaxing evening in the wood fired hot-tub, you can look forward to a night sleep under an open dome gazing at the stars with a fireplace glowing.
Cielo Glamping Maritime really offers a unique style of lodging with their stylish geodesic dome tents and great amenities such as the hot-tub, a charcoal BBQ and original atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this for any weekend getaway anytime of year.

Gagetown, New Brunswick on a late summer afternoon. This small riverside village is a nice little break from the city only 45 minutes or so from Fredericton and an hour from Saint John this historic village with small art shops, galleries and a beautiful waterfront is within a easy commute from the bigger urban centers of New Brunswick. Gagetown originally named Grimross by the Acadians and Mailseet is geographically located in Queen's county New Brunswick and situated on the west bank of the Saint John River.

2020 Pre Covid-19 travel experience Cuba. Cayo Guillermo Cuba my 1st ever international travel to somewhere tropic and off continental North America. This was a great experience in every aspect of what is to be expect from a tropical vacation, friendly and welcoming culture, amazing scenic beauty, beaches and tasty local food. Venturing off our resort the Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo was a safe and cultural enriching experience. Touring the cigar and coffee plantations, seeing the rum process and watching the locals of Moron Cuba was all of great interest. The Grand Mathu Cayo Guillermo itself is beautiful and amazing with an infinity pool and natural beach, something to keep in mind however was the very windy location being right on the edge of the coast of the Caribbean Sea during times it felt like the edge of the world you could find solitude there. The wind however was warm tropical.
Having a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean was splendid seeing the turquoise water and distance cruise ships. If your a seafood person the langosta (South Atlantic spiny lobster) was a treat and the pull-pork Cuban sandwiches washed down with a refreshing mojito or cerveza was a great night time snack. Cayo Guillermo is a small island of the archipelago Jardines del Rey on the northern tip of Cuba it is part of Ciego de Ávila province.
I hope once again to venture to this place or somewhere near it once travel gets back, if we ever go to a Covid free world again.
